One of the key challenges we face as chess excleling buyers is knowing how new releases fit into the bigger picture of the resources available, and which ones will benefit us most at our stage of development. The QC series of books are excellent.

And please read Thinking Inside the Box when it comes out. Lists with This Book. I loved the pieces chapter and the dynamics chapter. The exercises were collected and analysed by me and the book finished by John, so that excellimg tone is his, but the structure and ideas are mine and the direction something John and I have always worked together on. The 9 old books I would read continuously, but if you have the English editions, I would check the solutions with an engine. I have mountains of ideas floating around in my head but which ones should come to the fore, and when? Become a Redditor and subscribe to one of thousands of communities. I think it aagaaard meant for players who are up in the level. Maybe between the two volumes.

Sigmarsson rated it it was ok Jul 31, Mark had s of corrections, but Olms were not that interested in putting them in. Supi I appreciate it. Inspired me to eschew draws in imbalanced endgames. I’m around and am fascinated with the topics these books present but I am just not sure I would tecchnical able to fully appreciate them, any thoughts? Another author who writes advanced stuff is Mark Dvoretsky and I think his writing is dry too. Dvoretsky is RIP and we will miss any new books from him.
