There are drawings and images all through the pages. Not that you can probably teach yourself Latin without assistance, but this book is simply grand with teaching!
It is, in fact, a much better way to learn a language than the method Duolingo uses, which is based on constantly translating back and forth between two languages. This series is also my go to when I’ve spent a long time away from Latin and feel like I need a good refresher. A book like this combined with a good teacher of course almost enables Latin to join modern languages on an almost equal level.
